STEP 1: WHAT IS SNCURCS?

STEP 2: SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT AND REGISTER

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND CREATIVITY SYMPOSIUM

Colleges, universities and community colleges in North Carolina host a symposium each year to showcase N.C. undergraduate student research and creative work. SNCURCS provides undergraduate scholars in all fields a forum to share the results of their work through posters, presentations, performances, and works of art. The registration fee is $35.

If you’re a sophomore in North Carolina, you’re also eligible for the Barthalmus Research Grant to support ongoing undergraduate research.

Wingate University and South Piedmont Community College will be hosting an in-person SNCURCS on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Have you worked with a faculty mentor on a research project?

Have you created a work of art under the direction of a faculty mentor?

Have you written a research essay that you would like to publish in an undergraduate journal?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then SNCURCS is the place for you! Talk to your faculty mentor about attending SNCURCS, and then submit an abstract.

The Abstract Submission Portal and the Registration Portal are both closed. Please contact research@wingate.edu with questions about your submission.

Students will have the option to pay for their registration directly or indicate if their institution will be covering their registration fee. Students should consult with their research mentor, the research program director/coordinator at their school (if applicable), or another institution representative if they’re unsure.

Questions? Email research@wingate.edu or t.lund@wingate.edu.

Oral presentation presenters should upload their presentations using this form no later than 7:00pm on 11/10.
